NewsFood Donations Urgently Required!Saturday October 23rd 2010 Those of you that regularly log on to our website will no doubt know that both centres have made urgent appeals for donations of food for the animals. To those of you that have already donated or donate regularly we would like to say a huge thank you! Sadly the appeal continues and a bleak festive season appears to be ahead as we are ever desperate for quality foods to feed the animals. In Wales we are in particular need of cat food (both quality pouches and canned meat would be appreciated) In Liverpool, we urgently require donations of quality Dog, Cat and Small Animal foods! The following is a list of willing supermarkets that kindly aid us in our desperate bid to keep the 100's of poor creatures in our care fed by allowing us to house a food collection bin on their premises. In Southport - Somerfield (Marshside & Ainsdale), Tesco Kew In Burscough - Tesco, Pet Paraphernalia In Formby - Tesco, Waitrose (donations can be left at the customer service desk) In Crosby - Sainsbury In Litherland - Tesco In Bangor - Pets at Home In Holyhead - Tesco Please note that it is no longer possible to leave food donations at Sainsbury in Rice Lane, Walton as the space the food bin took up is required for their own displays. If you are a regular supporter and would normally donate food this way please note the alternative venues where foods can be left, alternatively please write a polite letter to the manager of the store requesting the reinstatement of the food bin which is so vital to the continuation of our work. Food can also be left at ANY one of our charity shops. Many, many thanks!!!!! Dog Crates for SaleMonday October 18th 2010 Due to the cattery increasing the size of temporary housing caging, we can offer for sale medium size [76x55 cm] collapsible cages, with bottoms, in full working order, all sterilised and suitable for transporting dogs in cars or putting animals on cage rest after surgery. We feel that a donation of £10 to £15 which will go towards the cattery's work is acceptable. Please call into the cattery or reception to inspect them and buy one. |
