NewsCaptain Moonlight visits North Liverpool Academy.Monday May 24th 2010 There was a deathly hush in the Assembly Hall as year 12 & 13 students waited patiently for the start of the Ghost Storytelling session. The lights went down and a solitary spotlight beamed down centre stage focusing on an empty stool. You could have heard a pin drop as a couple of minutes ticked silently away. Finally, a dark figure emerged from the shadows, took a deep bow and introduced himself as the inimitable Captain Moonlight, storyteller extraordinaire. "That, ladies and gentleman is what is known as a ‘theatrical pause'"; chuckles were heard from the audience but they soon disappeared as the storytelling began. Captain Moonlight took them on a virtual tour of ‘Liverpool's Pool of Darkness'. They listened, spellbound at the tales of ghosts, ghouls and bloody Liverpool, and the Captain received an enthusiastic round of applause at the end. Captain Moonlight and staff from Haunted Liverpool Ghost Walks are currently working on two media projects with North Liverpool Academy. The first is a video about the Ghost Walks and the second is an advertisement for the School Magazine. The content will enable the students to fulfil some of the modules in their Media studies course and will also help to spread the word about our Ghost Walks. Thank you Captain, ‘we were entertained'.
