NewsJohn Parrot Opens Relaunched Formby Shop!Saturday April 18th 2009    The Freshfields Shop in Queens Road, Formby relaunched this week with a brand new look. Popular sports personality John Parrot was there to cut the ribbon accompanied by his daughter Ellie. The Formby shop is home to an exciting array of collectables and jewellery. Also on sale are items of furniture, books, DVD's and other curio's. Well worth a visit the shop is manned by Freshfields volunteers and the rescue would like to take this opportunity to thank the team for their continued support and all the hard work that they put in for the animals. In a world where politics so often takes the fore it is refreshing to know that there are still people who can put the greater good (in our case the animals) first and who are always there lending their support without condition. Thank You! Freshfields would also like to thank John Parrot who kindly gave up his time to offer support to this venture. Thank you John! 2009 Bunny Bonanza ‘Huge Success’ !Saturday April 18th 2009    The 2009 Bunny Bonanza took place on Easter Monday of this year and once again proved to be a huge success! Thanks to the kind support of our regular volunteers, who came out in force to make sure the event was well manned, all stalls full and children well entertained, people arriving on the day had a great time. The rescue made just a little short of £2000 on the day! Special thanks must go to Unit Head Lyn Gawith and her team in the small animal and wildlife unit who kindly took on the bulk of the organising and also to long term supporter Jean Gawith . Freshfields would also like to say 'Thank You' to Tom Slemen who showed his support by attending on the day and spending a couple of hours signing copies of his series of 'Haunted Liverpool' books. You can see from the pictures on the left just how much fun was had by the children who took part in creating the animal collage on the day.
