Current affairs: XL Bully Ban Update – 1st May 2024

Last week, the campaign group “Don’t Ban Me, Licence Me” was granted approval to bring a High Court Judicial Review on the XL Bully dog ban. This review will assess whether the ban was based on unreliable material, lacked proper analysis, and did not follow proper processes.

This type of challenge can take at least 12 months to come to court. While this process is taking place the XL Bully ban is in place, so owners must continue to follow the rules including meeting the neutering deadlines.
