Kids Zone

Hi there and welcome!

On these pages you will find lots of information about animals and lots (we hope) of fun things to do and to get involved with. As well as the jokes, activities, facts and tips there are pages that only exist because of your contributions. Take a look at the different sections and see what interests you most. If you have knowledge of your own you would like to share then please email with your ideas plus any pictures you would like to include.

As you have already made it to the website you will know that there are lots of animals in need of help…

The animals in our care are with us for many different reasons. Sometimes it is because they are strays with no one to look out for them and they are therefore in need of our help and support, other times it may be because their owners have died and there is nobody else in the family able to care for them. Sadly it is also a fact that we often find ourselves as a temporary home to not just dogs and cats but rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals that have been starved, beaten, neglected or abandoned.

The world can be a cruel place if the people in it haven’t all been taught the right way to treat the animals that live alongside them.

Luckily we are here to care for abandoned, abused and unwanted animals in our area.
We give them food, warmth, love and medical care until we can find new loving homes for them with the kind of people that understand animals can feel pain and need love and care in just the same way as humans.

We have approximately 600 animals in our care at any one time so you can see we are always busy with lots to do. It takes a lot of money to look after all these animals. There are food and vets bills, heating etc, so we rely heavily upon the kind local people that support us with money and their time as volunteers.

Sadly our policies state that you can’t help us at the centre until you are at least 17 years old BUT that doesn’t mean that you can’t help us at all…

We would love you to help us raise awareness and funds to help keep the centre open.
Why not take a look at the ‘Ways you can help us’ page within the Kids Zone, there you will find all the information you and your parents need for you to start helping the animals TODAY!

Thank You!
