Volunteer Receptionists Required for Liverpool Centre

We are in urgent need of volunteers to help man our busy reception area at our Ince Blundell Site.  This is one of the most important roles on site and we are looking for people who are good communicators with lots of energy.  The post includes telephone duties and meeting and welcoming visitors to our centre.  Full training will be given.  Each shift is a miniuim of 4 hours and we are looking for cover for most days.  Please fill in the volunteer application form on our web site or call 0151 931 1604 for further details..

Volunteers Needed for Formby Shop

Are you good with cutomers? Can you spare us a half day per week? We particularly need people for Thursdays.

Please contact the shop direct on 01704 875599

Wool

Do you have odd balls or half balls of wool that you no longer need?

Please don't throw them away...we have a band of patient, generous people who enjoy nothing better than knitting or crocheting blankets for the animals. Help them to help us by passing your balls of wool into the nearest Freshfields charity shop and you will be making your contribution toward keeping the animals warm.

Thank You

Kitten Food!

The liverpool centre is very lucky in that we have lots of dog food and a fair amount of cat food donated to us on a regular basis. So much so that we sometimes pass on excess dog food to the Welsh centre and indeed other charities that are less fortunate in this area than us. What we don't have donated to us, but we really, really wish we did is KITTEN FOOD. At present we have to buy our kitten food from the wholesalers. Given that we deal with hundreds of kittens every year that's an awful lot of money for the rescue to find. If next time you visit the supermarket you could possibly purchase a box of Kitten food pouches/tins instead of your normal tin of dog food we would be very, very grateful. We don't mean to be cheeky, it's just that it would really help a lot.

Thanks so much for your support...we couldn't manage without you!

Handy Persons Wanted

Freshfields Liverpool would like to make a special appeal for experienced Handy People to join our band of regular volunteers. There are endless jobs at the rescue that need competant persons to carry them out. If you feel you have skills that would benefit the centre then please contact us via the volunteer page on this website or email volunteer@freshfieldsrescue.org.uk.

Pet Food Bins

The Welsh rescue centre in Nasareth is asking shop owners if they would be willing to place a collection bin on their premises to encourage customers to donate cans of dog and cat food to the charity.

Are you a shop owner willing to do this? Are you someone who knows a shop that would do this and you yourself willing to collect the food regularly and deliver it to the rescue? Our centre in Liverpool is extremely lucky in that they receive regular donations of food and have a dedicated team of volunteers who are willing to collect on a regular basis and drop it off with them. In Wales we most often have to purchase food for the animals putting enourmous strain on our budgets.

Supplies of quality, donated cat and dog food would be a real boon for us and for the animals. Telephone 01286 880808 or email if you can help!

Horse Blankets

The Welsh rescue is appealing for good quality horse blankets to help protect our many rescued horses and ponies throughout the winter months.

Blankets do not need to be new but please...only those in good repair!

Thank you so much. If you can help please contact our Welsh centre on 01286 880808

Rags

Yes we really mean it!

We can make money out of old items not fit to resell such as damaged clothing, shoes, bags, belts etc. please just make sure everything is clean and bag it separately from items you think we can sell in our shops or that will make good bedding for the animals. Nothing need go to waste!

rags may be dropped off at our shops in Southport, Waterloo or St. Helen's

Pop Up Gazebo’s

Needed at the Liverpool rescue for our 'Haunted Liverpool Ghost Walk'all night Vigils.

Let us know if you can help! Tel 0151 931 1604
