Ways that you can help us

Keep the doors open!!

Freshfields Animal Rescue cares for nearly 2,000 animals each year at our two Rescue Centres.

We are entirely dependent on public support and goodwill for this work to continue.

We simply can't keep the doors open without YOUR help!

And there are many different ways you can give that help:

Youngsters - can become a member of our "Young Animal Caretakers" - but only by holding a fundraising event for Freshfields. Details can be found in the Kids Zone: or please email your full name, date of birth and postal address to:   we'll then send you full details of how to organise an event for the animals and of the membership benefits.

Individuals and Families - can help in a number of ways:-

By joining one of our local volunteer Support Groups who organise fundraising events and carry out awareness campaigning in their local communities. - For more details contact Jane Young at the rescue on 0151 931 1604 - or, you can email us as above.

By organising an event for us at work, school, club or church. Expert advice and help is always available - again, just contact Jane. By supporting our local network of Charity Shops. We have Shops covering both Merseyside and Wales - click here for details of your nearest shop. They are raising money for the animals every week of the year and you can help them! You can always donate unwanted items to the shops (between them they'll take pretty well anything!), you should certainly call in and pick up a bargain, or you might be able to spare a few hours to help by collecting goods or serving behind the counter.   For further information go to the Shops section of our Website.

By celebrating your Special Day with a donation to feed the animals at Freshfields. It costs round about £100 a day to feed the animals in our care (more in winter, especially for the horses.

Shops, Companies, Clubs, Churches and Schools can also help the animals in a number of different ways:-

Shops and Companies can help by displaying a "Freshfields" collecting tin - we're always happy to provide one of our attractive counter-top collecting boxes for display in your shop or reception area. Naturally we'll also take full responsibility for emptying it on a regular basis so you can be sure its contents are being well-used to help the animals.   Just email us if you can give a good home to a Freshfields collecting tin.

Shops and Companies can also help by donating excess stock/unsold goods - our Charity Shops sell pretty well anything you can think of! Collection is available for large amounts or items can just be dropped into one of our shops - see the Shops section for details.
Companies, Clubs, Churches and Schools - might like to think about organising a social event to raise funds for us. Expert help is always available and it's a marvellous way of placing your name in a wider community as well as having the satisfaction of helping the animals. If you'd like to get involved please contact us.

Companies, Clubs, Churches and Schools - could also help by donating to feed the animals on a special day as well - see above.

AND, ABOVE ALL, ANYONE AND EVERYONE CAN HELP US TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN BY SENDING US A DONATION AT ANY TIME.

CHEQUES AND/OR POSTAL ORDERS SHOULD BE PAYABLE TO FRESHFIELDS ANIMAL RESCUE AND SENT TO OFFICE: East Lodge Farm, East Lane, Ince Blundell, Liverpool L29 3EA
