Wanted-Special people for Special Animals...

Meet Duggie

My name is: Duggie
Status: I need a patient and understanding home!
I was admitted: November 04 2011
I think I am: 7 months old
Reason I was brought here:

I was a stray... and a very excitable one at that!

Reason I am still here:

Well I was rehomed, but the family couldn't cope with me.  The truth is that I mouth a lot.  People keep saying 'No' to me but I don't really understand why so I just keep doing it anyway.

I am a: Male
Vaccinated: Yes I am
Neutered: Yes I am
I like children: I'm far too boisterous to live with Children
I like dogs: Yes outside - but should be the only pet
I like cats: I can't be trusted with cats
I like smalll animals:

No it probably wouldn't be wise to let me loose around small animals

I do not like:

I don't like all this uncertainty... it confuses me and I don't really know how to deal with it.  I don't like being in a rescue centre without a family to call my own! :-(

My temperament / personality:

I'm a typical adolescent or so I hear them say.  I spend my time pushing boundaries and being cute (but not necessarily in that order), when I get excited it's a bit like with human children when mum says 'It'll all end in tears!' The fun gets out of hand and I start mouthing and then I get told off and the outcome is inevitable.  I'm in a vicious circle!!!

Condition upon arrival:

I was in good condition on arrival

Condition now:

Still in good condition and looking more adorable than ever!

I require this special care:

Patience and determination to work through a difficult period of adjustment.  I need some positive reinforcement from a person who won't give up at the first hurdle.

Possible future requirements & financial implications:

None that we know of

My ideal family would be:

When I get excited I tend to get a bit mouthy and so I need an experienced home who will patiently and calmly work through this with me.  I am a strong little boy and I have no comprehension of the fact that my mouthing causes discomfort for the person on the receiving end.

I am going to need and active home with no other animals or children, I am a confused little boy who is sick of hearing the word "no" and I desperately need some positive reinforcement. I really deserve a second chance of a loving home with a committed person who will not give up at the first hurdle!
