Wanted-Special people for Special Animals...

Meet Alice and Jade

My name is: Alice and Jade
Status: Hoping for a new home soon please?
I was admitted: August 19 2011
I think I am: 1-2 years old
Reason I was brought here:

Can you believe our cowardly owners dumped us outside the rescue in a box at 11pm one night.

Reason I am still here:

We are quite timid which doesn't suit everybody and that may be why we have been overlooked.

I am a: Female
Vaccinated: Yes we are
Neutered: Yes we are
I like children: We are a bit timid so only quiet, respectful kids.
I like dogs: Not experienced with dogs either
I like cats: No, not experienced with cats
I like smalll animals:

We are small animals so we guess the answer is yes!

I do not like:

Too much attention is probably a good one!  We are quite timid and like to be left to do our own thing. There isn't much we actively dislike... oh, except for being dumped outside the rescue in a box late at night!

My temperament / personality:

Shy, timid little girls, we adore one another and love to spend our time snuggled up together.  We would no doubt blossom in our own home given the space and the right level of stimulation.

Condition upon arrival:

A little overweight but in otherwise good condition

Condition now:

The same though we are trimming down to our proper weight.

I require this special care:

None really, just patience and the right to be 'rabbits' without any human expectations getting in the way.

Possible future requirements & financial implications:

Like ALL rabbits we need our Myxo and VHD booster vaccinations each year but there is nothing on the cards beyond that.  We need a hutch with a run permanently attached so that we have constant access to an exercise area.  The run should be 5ft x 7ft minimum and should be covered so that predators can't get in.

My ideal family would be:

As we said we are quite timid.  We need a family that will give us time to settle in and won't want to be picking us up all the time.  As we get used to you and our new environment we will begin to relax and feel comfortable with our surroundings and we will learn to trust you.  The more interesting you make our environment with tubes and tunnels to hide in and play the more content we will be and the happier the two of us along with you as our family will be.  We will learn to trust you and will probably start to look forward to your daily visits with fresh food and water.
