William

William came to us as a stray, and therefore we have no history on him. He is a very timid dog and we feel sure that he has been badly abused in the past. He has steadily gained confidence since being with us and has blossomed into an affectionate and extremely loyal boy. He can still be timid at times, however he knows he is safe with us and is able to trust all the staff.

We would like an adult only, quiet, gentle and calm home for William. Somebody with an understanding of nervous, rescue dogs would be beneficial.

William will make somebody the most loving and loyal companion. He has such a lovely nature once you gain his trust. He has the makings of a very faithful friend.

My name is William and I am now 7 years old. I came to Freshfields Animal Rescue as a stray last year. I was absolutely terrified when I first met all the kennel staff, I was even scared of my own shaddow! I have been very, very, very badly treated in the past, somebody used to beat me up. I wish i could talk, because then I could tell people exactly what happened to me to make me so shy and timid, but I think that the staff have it sussed! With time I have blossomed into such a happy, bonny boy, but I am still nervous when I meet new people! The kennel staff tell me they all love me, they say I am one of their favourites (but shhh don't tell the others!!). But I don't think they're supposed to have favorites! My confidence is getting better and I would love a new mum or dad.

I need a gentle owner, somebody who will be patient with me as I settle in and won't expect too much off me too soon. I need a quiet, calm home, with no children. I like other dogs when I am out on a waqlk but I think I would like to be the only pet in the house, so I can have all the attention!

I really would love a new home. A home where they are kind to me, they don't shout or hit me. A home where they will love me as much as I love them! A home I can call my own. Please help my dream of a loving, kind home!
