DewyDewy came into the Liverpool rescue along with his brother Dewy in the early summer of 2011. The two boys were living with a family who had acquired them as pets (and looked after them very well) but they needed more space than the family could provide and also weren't getting along too well. Unneutered males will often start out as best pals but as their hormones kick in friction is only to be expected. We are hopeful that at some point we will be able to have them neutered (not all vets will neuter pigs) and that once their hormones settle they may be able to be re-introduced to one another. It is always preferable for sociable animals to have companions of their own kind rather than for them to condemned to a life of boredom on their own. |
