BluebellBluebell came to us from a dog pound where she was due to be put to sleep. She has since been to two homes and been returned for the same problem - taking a while to settle in. Bluebell is a lovely dog. She is lively, friendly and extremely affectionate. However, she is very stressed out with kennel life. We have moved her into our kitchen area where we can spend more time with her. Like most staffys, she demands a lot of attention; she's a cheeky lady who has a nose for mischief. She will often make us laugh on a daily basis. We like to think of her as a pup trapped in an adults body. Just like a pup, she needs to be taught how to cope with change or stress. Bluebell is a wonderful, cheeky fun girl!
She is much calmer since living in our kitchen, but this is still a busy place for her. It is difficult to put a time limit on, but Bluebell will take a while to adapt and settle in her new home. The kennel staff will advise on the best way to introduce her to a home that will cause her the least possible stress and help her to adjust as easily as possible.
Bluebell needs a quieter home, adults only. She needs a patient understanding owner who will give her time to settle and not expect too much from her in the first few months. Bluebell is a really lovely dog. If you can give her a chance of a home, you'll be glad you did!
