Arthur

Arthur is one of three Kune Kune boars taken in by the Liverpool rescue towards the end of 2011. These three boys came from a group of 10 boars and sows that had been kept for breeding purposes. The breeder having lost interest in this hobby had left all 10 of these friendly, gentle pigs at the mercy of passers by who were doing their best to feed the abandoned animals. Some of the sows were pregnant or had given birth and the owner when approached abdicated all responsibility insisting that someone (anyone other than himself) take responsibility for rehoming the poor creatures within the next two weeks because at the end of that time they would be destroyed.

Luckily ALL the pigs were taken to a farm animal sanctuary to ensure that none were destroyed and from there they made their way to other rescues or homes.
